About Schefflera macrocarpa.jpg

[edit]

The photo is shared originally on Flickr with a CC BY-NC-SA 2.0 license. I think it should be alright. Labratscientist (talk) 13:42, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Labratscientist: Unfortunately it isn't, see COM:L. --Achim55 (talk) 13:44, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Animation and reality

[edit]

Please, can you help me to find the name of these animation's paintings in the real-life: 1, 2? The first is about a girl on a beach at the sunset, while the second is probably about a winery castle. Thank you very much. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 87.2.61.243 (talk) 10:28, 11 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What is the reason for deleting a photo?

[edit]

@Achim55 Hello, I hope you have a nice day. I wanted to start publishing characters and pictures on Wikimedia and WikiCommons, but I found that the first picture of the person I posted was deleted. Is there a reason so that I know if there is a reason for the character pictures? I tried to post the images and information accurately with the licenses, etc. I was surprised that they were deleted. I apologize, but I want to know more from you about the reason so that I can be careful with these matters. I read the publishing policy that there is no problem with publishing, licenses, etc. So what was the reason this time? this name of pic : File:Abdullah Nassar.png Abdullah Alzowiny (talk) 21:17, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Abdullah Alzowiny, it looks like self-promotion. Your account m:Special:CentralAuth/Ajax552 is globally locked and all of your 162 edits have been deleted. Same for d:Q116033344 by your sock account User:Alzowini. Commons is not a social media site. Feel free to request for undeletion of File:Abdullah Nassar.png on COM:UNDEL. --Achim55 (talk) 06:59, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What if this is not promotion, but it is intended to be created. Data base for a person does not take a link or link the image to refer to it or put it like on the rest of the Wikipedia sites such as Wikadata to put a full data base for the person as an influential and etc. and I mean as an impact effect on the community and on the Internet and we were a writer also has sources and so on that I ask that the first picture is the first The options in Wikipedia to create a base for a person just ask if there is an error that can be made to me and thank you@Achim55 Abdullah Alzowiny (talk) 14:10, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please explain the deletion reason further? It's interesting to me how different deletion practices are here as compared to Wikivoyage, where I'm a bureaucrat. If someone made an inappropriate edit on existing text on a talk page on Wikivoyage, we'd just revert the edit and might take some kind of action in regard to the user who made the edit (we might ignore them, might post a warning to their user talk page, or might block them right away if it were serious vandalism). We wouldn't normally delete a talk page unless the only text on it was vandalism, spam or copyright violation. Then again, I don't read Arabic, so I might have missed part of the context. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 16:36, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ikan Kekek, content was

Adilalarp (Diskussion) 05:54, 20 December 2024 (UTC)

and Adilalarp himself tagged it for deletion. Why should I have kept it? --Achim55 (talk) 16:42, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know. It could be seen as an argument to add more organizations to the list. Was Adilalarp the only editor of that page? If so, they could have just chosen to blank their comments. I guess I don't understand the chain of events, and of course because I'm not an admin here, I can't see the page's edit history anymore. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 17:42, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, Adilalarp created that page and half an hour later tagged it for deletion. No other editors. --Achim55 (talk) 17:58, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I misunderstood that. So user request, if nothing else. On Wikivoyage, I think the user would have blanked it, but that kind of comment definitely would have been irrelevant in a travel guide. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 18:03, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
